ACCOUNTANT (BCom + Articles) – Pretoria East

Financial firm in Pretoria East is urgently looking to appoint an Accountant

Qualifications

- Completed BCom Accounting
- Completed Articles, Registered with SAICA / SAIPA / AGA- ESSENTIAL
- 3 - 5 years working experience an Accountant
- Registered Tax Practitioner (advantageous).
- Working experience in compiling and signing off financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of payroll management, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Deadline driven
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel Partner, Pastel Payroll & HR, Caseware, Sage One Accounting).







Responsibilities:

- Compile and sign off financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Handle monthly payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain accurate financial records for monthly and annual clients, providing regular updates and reports.
- Assist clients with annual returns and other statutory submissions.
- Provide tax-related advice and assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns (if a registered Tax Practitioner).
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
- Liaise with clients to ensure financial records are up-to-date and provide guidance on financial best practices.

VALID DRIVERS LICENCE & OWN VEHICLE ESSENTIAL
