actively looking for a Training Officer (SDF) who will run and/or manage the training department, LAI's while facilitating and delivering Management or Leadership trainings.
• Ensure that strategic training is provided, facilitate study needs through bursaries and including optimal utilization of digital learning. • Ensure that efficient and appropriate training service is professionally delivered. • Reduce and maintain low staff turnover through training interventions. • Plan and monitor departmental training budgets and/or costs. • Oversee and manage SD, LAI's and ESD elements with regard B-BBE compliance.• Ensure submission of skills plans, invoices, registers and relevant documentation to WRSETA.
• Oversee and monitor training programmes that include web-based seminars, digital learning, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, and more… • Determine training needs through IDP's, assessments and surveys in order to meet organizational requirements as well as perform regular evaluations to assess effectiveness of training interventions. • Review existing training materials to determine appropriateness and relevance in line with organizational goals and objectives. • Modify or create course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs. • Monitor training programmes and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date. • Work with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments. • Manage costs for all programmes/training, productions, and publications in order to report to organization executives regarding a return on investment.
• Liaise with relevant SETA's in terms of enrolling learnership and internship programs, reporting in terms of work skills plans and annual training, as well as ensuring accreditation with same. • Maintain understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods. • Manage the Internship and Learnership candidates, including mentorship program. • Facilitate and deliver internal training programmes i.e. Learn to Sell, Learn to Lead program etc. • Self-inform through attending trainings/seminars/meetings in order to keep to industry norms and trends such as (WRSETA/SANAS/DTI/SAQA/QCTO etc.). • Responsible to ensure that sound administration and record systems are in place and maintained at all times. • Responsible to administer, compile and to submit ATR as well as WSP to relevant SETA.
• Ensure accreditation of in-house training facilitators and training facility. • Collaborate with TVET colleges and other institutes while ensuring brand exposure, including Career Expo.
• Matric or equivalent
• Relevant Post Graduate qualification
• Experience in facilitation and delivery of management/leadership training and project management
• Minimum of 5 years practical and relevant experience in same industry as a Trainer
• Must be a certified Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) with ETDP qualification
• Credible experience in liaising with W&RSETA;
• Must be fully computer literate
• Clear Credit and Criminal record
R25 000 - R30 000 + Benefits (depending on experience)
