About the Role
As an Actuarial Data Expert, you'll be at the core of shaping financial strategies within the medical scheme industry. Your expertise in data manipulation and actuarial analysis will drive smarter decisions and help design sustainable, innovative models that cater to the needs of members and the industry.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Build and refine data-driven actuarial models,
providing solutions for pricing, reserving, and risk assessments.
- Lead the interpretation of complex datasets, extracting key insights to inform management decisions.
- Utilize advanced tools such as SAS/SQL to develop and automate processes that enhance data accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate across departments, presenting your findings and contributing to high-impact projects in healthcare strategy.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring that your work remains at the cutting edge of actuarial science and data analytics.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in actuarial science or data analytics.
- A qualified or nearly qualified actuary or holder of a Master's degree in a related field.
- Expertise in SAS/SQL and advanced spreadsheet capabilities.
- Hands-on experience in the healthcare/medical scheme sector is a huge plus.
