POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is purely an administrative function within the Sales Department and includes responsibilities that support the Sales Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Manage the full administrative function of the Sales Team which includes:Cross-checking of confirmedReconfirmation of all bookingsLiaise with the Finance Team on invoice paymentsLiaise with Safari & Camp OperationsIdentify problems on a file and immediately notify the Sales Consultant and when applicable, the Line ManagerAny other administrative tasks as may from time to time be directed by the Line ManagerBuild and maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth running of the administrative processAlways provide proactive support to colleagues but especially during peak or leave timesStrong support to the team to ensure we reach our departmental targetFollowing and adhering to all sales procedures as set out in the operating manualsAttending all training that is offered and proactively growing your knowledge of the company, our products (as well as that of 3rd party suppliers), and the countries in which we operateUse systems to their maximum potential and plan an active role in helping to improve where possibleAlways look for ways to support and assist the Sales Team and plan an active role in increasing their performance.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Interest in the safari industryWorking knowledge and understanding of the safari industry is preferredStrong administration and organizational skillsMeticulous attention to detailGood communication skills, a service delivery mindset and a strong customer service focusMust work well under pressureProactive mindset and can-do attitudeAbility to work independently as well as within a broader team setupEnergetic and eager to learnMust be computer literate and able to use email / MS Word / MS ExcelCertificate / Diploma / Degree in Travel
