As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of driving solar EPC projects to successful completion. You'll work closely with design engineers, project managers,
and procurement officers to ensure every project is executed efficiently, meeting all technical requirements and industry standards. From managing project engineering activities to coordinating with clients, contractors, and suppliers, your role will ensure that projects progress seamlessly. You'll lead the commissioning phase, ensuring systems are tested and operational before being handed over to the client, all while adhering to timelines, budgets, and safety regulations. What you'll need
To excel in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, along with 3+ years of project engineering experience within the EPC market. Your background in renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects will be essential, as well as your in-depth knowledge of compliance, safety regulations,
and quality assurance processes. Strong problem-solving skills, a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, and excellent communication abilities are key to succeeding in this role. Additionally, you must be fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages. Familiarity with South African industry standards like SANS and OHSA will set you apart.
