We're seeking a detail-oriented professional with bookkeeping experience to join our company. We are based in Stikland, Bellville and have a manufacturing and wholesale warehouse in Johannesburg. The position advertised is for our Bellville, Cape Town offices.
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Monthly bookkeeping process up to trail balance
Monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries
Cashbooks
Preparation of month-end payments
Check purchase orders to creditors invoices
Ensure bank statements, payments and transactions are allocated
Ensure that all petty cash expenses checked and captured
Petty Cash count, reconciliation and processing
Performing bookkeeping duties such as recording,
posting and processing day to day financial transactions and to perform related reconciliations
Preparation of month end and year end journals
Capturing of invoices and make sure it gets allocated to the correct GL codes with correct VAT category
Assist with month end closing procedures
Payroll (Monthly salaries & weekly wages)
Filing and various administrative duties
National Senior Certificate or equivalent
Bookkeeping Qualification (Certificate / Diploma)
Computer literate: MS Office (Word, (Excel, Outlook)
