Rail Vehicle Systems division
In our Rail Vehicle Systems division we equip mass transit vehicles such as metro cars and light rail vehicles, as well as freight trains, locomotives, long-distance passenger trains and high-speed trains, with highly advanced products. Along with braking systems these include intelligent entrance systems, HVAC systems,
auxiliary power supply systems, control components and windscreen wiper systems, platform screen doors, friction material, driver assistance systems, electrical traction equipment and control technology.
Commercial Vehicle Systems division
The Commercial Vehicle Systems division offers its customers braking systems for trucks, buses, trailers and agricultural machinery. In the chassis systems sector, Knorr-Bremse is a leading player in electronic control, driver assistance and air supply systems. Other product fields include steering systems, powertrain-related systems and torsional vibration dampers for diesel engines.

During the one year Internship, you will gain valuable experience in the following fields:
- Recruitment
- Onboarding and terminations
- Labour relations
- Payroll
- All aspects of Skills Development (we will also give you the opportunity to become a Skills Development Facilitator)
- Organisational Development
- Employee benefit administration (Provident Fund, Medical Aid & Medical Insurance)
- BBBEE
- Experience on the Main Agreement of the MEIBC
- General administration which includes updating employee data on HR Connect
Skills required:
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
- Attention to detail
- VERY good interpersonal skills
- Very good planning, organising and time management skills
- High quality orientation
- Action orientated / self starter
- Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to multi-task and to work well within a team as well as independently
Qualifications:
- A degree (including B-Tech) in Human Resources
- Students completing their degrees in 2023 would be given preference
- No work experience is necessary
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint skills will be an added advantage
R9500 per month. No benefits will apply as this is a fixed term contract position.
