Hire Resolve is assisting a leading engineering firm in Cape Town with the search for a talented Structural Draughtsman. In this role, you will be responsible for producing detailed structural drawings and plans that reflect the specifications outlined by engineers and architects.
As a Structural Draughtsman, you will work with the design team to prepare accurate drawings that support the construction process and ensure the structural integrity of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and modify detailed structural drawings in accordance with project specifications
- Collaborate closely with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy in designs
- Perform quality control checks on drawings to maintain high standards of detail and precision
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and building codes
- Manage the drawing library and documentation effectively
- Stay updated with advancements in drafting technology and software
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Structural Draughtsman in the construction or engineering field
- Proficient in Revit and other relevant drafting software
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles and local building codes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
