Job Title: Branch Office Manager (Airports Defence)
Job Requirements:
- Degree in business administration, aviation management or related (Masters preferred)
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development or management roles within the aviation industry, with a proven track record in driving sales growth.
- Related experience in the defence sector is highly desirable (incl. previous experience with defence contractors or governmental organizations)
- Familiarity with both defence and commercial aviation markets is essential.
- Knowledge of South African business practices, cultural nuances, and regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
- Candidates with proficiency in French, Arabic, and English are preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities in the defense & aviation sector.
- Develop and execute business development strategies for the South African market.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, government bodies, and industry stakeholders.
- Oversee branch operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with corporate goals.
- Manage budgets to support business objectives and maximize profitability.
- Implement best practices to maintain high service standards.
- Develop marketing plans to increase service visibility in the South African market.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Collaborate with corporate marketing to adapt promotional materials for the region.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration.
- Provide ongoing development opportunities and set clear performance goals.
- Conduct performance reviews and ensure accountability.
- Monitor trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to refine strategies.
- Prepare reports on business performance and market insights for senior management.
