JOB PURPOSE
The Data Specialist will support the Sales Team by focusing on data collection, analysis, and management to drive business insights and results. This role requires someone passionate about numbers and data who can dive deep into sales statistics to track performance, spot trends, and recommend real-time adjustments. The role also involves coordination with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. A love for data analysis and attention to detail is critical.
LEVELS OF ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES
Reporting to Consumer Lead
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and analyse customer sales data to support the consumer sales strategy, ensuring data accuracy and addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Provide real-time analysis of sales statistics and deliver actionable insights to the sales team, enabling quick adjustments to strategies where necessary.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to manage and update Customer Marketing calendars, ensuring alignment with planned activities and providing evidence of performance (POE).
- Reconcile internal product support requests (CAC) with customer submissions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
- Conduct weekly competitor analysis, identifying trends and recommending actions based on data insights.
- Assist with product information and address customer queries, ensuring all new product listings are complete and up to date.
- Track inbound orders in collaboration with the Logistics team, providing timely updates to the sales team to maintain seamless operations.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales and customer engagement to the Consumer Lead.
- Assist with product listings for SEO amplification.

- Expertise in data analysis, with a focus on accuracy and actionable insights
- Ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities within sales data
- Timeliness in reporting and communication
- Proficient in Excel and data management tools
- Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives

REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Diploma in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field
Experience
- This is an intern position for new graduates
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, particularly using Excel (advanced knowledge)
- Experience working with sales metrics, KPIs, and data-driven decision-making
