Financial Accountant
Salary is R43,000 - R60,000 per month

Three month contract
As the Financial Accountant, you will ensure that general accounting is managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. You will be responsible for compliance with IFRS, local legislation and company processes and regulations in the general accounting area. You will be providing support to the Finance Manager by performing operational finance functions across all reporting and legal entities.
Responsibilities include
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for general accounting tasks.
- Review and manage financial reports and accounting statements to ensure their accuracy.
- Perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts.
- Manage internal and external audits.
- Prepare, record, analyse and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records.
- Provide financial control support on forecasting activities and reporting.
- Prepare separate and consolidated financial statements for the group.
- Prepare technical opinions on complex accounting matters.
- Support the tax department with financial information and tax submissions.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and all related systems and policies thereof.
Requirements
- Qualified CA with at least two years post articles experience.
- Office Suite Literacy.
- Ability to work well within a high-pressure environment.
- Must be able to liaise on all levels in the organisation.
- Willing to work extended hours during financial reporting cycles as well as during adhoc reporting periods.
