Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team in the solar EPC sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing project-related support and ensuring the successful commissioning of projects.
1. Project-Related Support:
o Manage project engineering activities, ensuring technical and project requirements are met.
o Collaborate closely with the design engineer to translate design plans into practical execution strategies.
o Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose solutions to ensure smooth project delivery.
o Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers,
to ensure project objectives are understood and met.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Project Commissioning:
o Lead the commissioning phase of projects, ensuring that systems and equipment are installed, tested, and fully operational before handover to the client.
o Develop and execute commissioning plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and testing protocols.
o Perform inspections and tests to confirm that systems meet specifications and operate safely and efficiently.
o Document and report any commissioning activities, ensuring that all operational and safety standards are adhered to.
o Provide technical guidance and support to the project team during the commissioning phase, troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project engineering within the EPC market,
with a focus on project support and commissioning.
- Proven experience working on large-scale projects, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of compliance, safety regulations, and quality assurance processes.
- Own transport
- Valid drivers license
- Familiarity with South African industry standards, including SANS (South African National Standards) and OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act).
