Production SupervisorLOCATION: East London, SAREFERENCE: HQ000801-pn-1The client is based in East London and specializes in compliant and safe workwear rental and laundering services.Duties & ResponsibilitiesQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of Matric / Gr 12 / NQF # 4 qualification or equivalentDiploma in Production / Hospitality management on NQF # 5 or equivalent is preferableEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Minimum of 3 years production management experience in a customer service related industry is preferableJOB COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Comprehensive understanding of the laundry / production processComprehensive understanding of the supply and demand chainComprehensive understanding of the production process and maintenance processes required in a production environmentUnderstanding of finance, financial systems and the managing of costs and expenditure related to the business to ensure cost effective processes and practicesUnderstanding of all related legislation and ability to ensure compliance to relevant legislationUnderstanding of labour relations, grievance procedures and disciplinary procedures and the ability to expedite relevant actions / measuresProficient computer literacy on MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and company related software systemExcellent customer and interpersonal skillsAbility to identify, develop, implement and ensure compliance to standard operating procedures relating to the production and quality related processesAbility to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and accurately in EnglishAbility to ensure that all quality control practices are implemented and adhered toAbility to manage the production processes and staff in the plantAbility to analyze, optimize and improve overall performance of the equipment, staff and the production processesAbility to manage the performance of the staff and discipline staff when requiredAbility to mentor and coach supervisors, team leaders and production workersAbility to draw up production planning schedules, monitoring and tracking of compliance against the schedules and the ability to pro-actively take corrective actions on deviations from the production schedulesMust have own transportMust be able to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays when requiredPackage & RemunerationR 19000 - Monthly
