Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters preferred)
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development or management roles within the construction industry, with a proven track record of driving sales growth.
- Experience with both commercial and residential construction projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with local market dynamics and regulatory frameworks in South Africa.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and operational oversight.
- Knowledge of South African business practices, cultural nuances,
and regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
- Candidates with proficiency in French, Arabic, and English are preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities in the construction sector.
- Develop and execute business strategies for the South African market.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, government entities, and industry stakeholders.
- Oversee branch operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with corporate goals.
- Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation for profitability.
- Implement operational best practices to maintain high service standards.
- Create and execute marketing plans to boost awareness of construction services.
- Represent the company at industry events and build connections.
- Collaborate with marketing to tailor regional campaigns.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team.
- Provide support and professional development,
setting clear objectives and conducting performance reviews.
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes.
- Prepare reports on business performance and market insights for management.
