About the role In this role, you will join the Quality Assurance Team at Yassir and run various tests on new software products to ensure that programs satisfy all specifications and requirements. You will be part of a feature team and work closely with our developers and product managers. You will manage test suites and debugging programs to improve the quality of our products. About your role as QA EngineerReview requirements, specifications, and technical documents to provide feedback; analyze test results to ensure software meets quality standardsCreate, execute, and manage test cases (both manual and automated), including detailed plans for comprehensive coverageDocument testing phases, report bugs, and track defects efficiently. Perform thorough regression testing to verify bug fixesWork with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to maintain quality and troubleshoot issuesConduct post-release/post-implementation testing to ensure product stability and quality in real-world usageDesign and develop automation scripts using open source tools. Stay updated with new testing tools and strategies to enhance efficiencyEstimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities to align with project timelines and objectivesLiaise with internal teams to understand system requirements and monitor the debugging process to ensure effective resolution of issuesAbout your experienceBSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field3 - 5 years of hands-on experience with manual and automated mobile testing on Android and iOS platformsHands-on experience in developing automated test cases in at least one programming languageProven working experience with Agile project management, QA methodology, and test management softwareHands-on experience with API Testing frameworks such as PostmanHands on experience with test management tools such as XrayAbility to design and write test cases in BDD formatExperience in Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, Performance Testing, end-to-end application testingHands-on experience with the Robot framework is a plusExperience in a rapidly growing company in the mobility, on-demand or fintech space is a plusAt Yassir, we believe in the power of diversity and the importance of an inclusive culture.
