Introduction
Phakisa Holdings is looking for Qualified Boilermaker in Port Elizabeth area:
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Boilermaker. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and equipment, will work with a variety of materials and utilize your expertise to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install boilers and other pressure vessels.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform welding and cutting operations using various methods (e.g., TIG, MIG, stick).
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the integrity of structures.
- Maintain and repair existing boilers and related equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members on projects.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working conditio
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Completion of a Boilermaker apprenticeship or equivalent training.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., welding certification).
- Proven experience as a Boilermaker
- Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Matric/Grade 12
