Location: Klerksdorp, North West
Job Overview:
A dynamic and growing company in Klerksdorp is seeking a qualified Accountant with completed articles (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including monthly management accounts and year-end financials.
- Manage the full accounting function, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts [URL Removed] monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors, and creditors.
- Prepare VAT, PAYE,
and other statutory returns in compliance with local regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial performance against budgets.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to management for decision-making purposes.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate submissions to relevant authorities.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure all audit requirements are met.
- Assist in cash flow management and recommend financial strategies for business improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Completed articles (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA).
Minimum of 2-3 years of post-articles experience in a similar role.
Experience in the food or manufacturing sector will be advantageous.
Strong understanding of financial principles, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar systems).
Advanced MS Excel skills.
