Job Title: Pump Technician/Fitter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pump Technician/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of pumps and related systems. This role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic systems and mechanical components, along with excellent troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install pumps and related equipment according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance checks and servicing on pumps to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair: Diagnose and repair faulty pumps and related systems, replacing parts as necessary.
- Troubleshooting: Identify issues with pump operation, analyze performance data, and implement solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required/Trade Test
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with three-phase electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or high-power residential settings.
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge pumps, such as submersible pumps, centrifugal pumps etc
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools and testing equipment.
- Good understanding of bearings & seals
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a larger project team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors, on ladders, and in industrial settings.
Work Environment:
- Typically works in commercial or industrial buildings, construction sites, or maintenance settings.
- May require overtime or on-call work for emergency repairs or maintenance.
