WHO ARE YOU
As a Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading our efforts in the township market. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique characteristics of the township demographic and the ability to develop tailored marketing strategies to drive sales and brand loyalty. This role involves developing strategic marketing initiatives, managing sales teams, and building strong relationships with clients to drive revenue growth.
Minimum Requirements
SKILL REQUIREMENTS/PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
- Experience in developing, building and maintaining business relationships
- Understanding of POS systems and retail operations
- Strong negotiating and decision-making skills
- Experience in budget management, forecasting, pricing, and account profitability review
- Ability to engage diverse audiences
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and delivering measurable business outcomes
- Analytical skills to analyze market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the township market or similar demographic
Duties and Responsibilities
Market research and analysis
- Conduct thorough research to understand the needs, preferences, and buying behaviors of township merchants
- Analyze competitor strategies and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
Sales strategy development
- Develop and implement effective strategies specifically targeted at the township market
- Monitor sales targets and performances against business goals, adjusting strategies as necessary
Marketing campaigns
- Design and execute marketing campaigns that resonate with township consumers, utilizing appropriate channels (community events, social media, etc.)
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials that reflect cultural relevance and appeal
Relationship building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and trust
- Engage with customers directly to gather feedback and foster brand loyalty
Team leadership
- Lead and motivate a team of sales agents, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team sales targets
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques
Reporting and analysis
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and campaign effectiveness for senior management.
- Use data analytics to inform decision-making and refine strategies
