Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager with a specialisation in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, supporting business planning, and delivering insights to senior leadership.
Financial Planning & Long-Term Strategy:
- Develop and implement long-term financial plans that align with the organisation's strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain financial models to project future performance under different scenarios, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior management to shape financial strategies that support business growth.
Budgeting & Cost Management:
- Lead the budgeting process by coordinating with department heads to gather input and align operational goals with financial constraints.
- Monitor actual vs. budgeted performance and perform variance analysis to identify areas requiring attention.
- Provide recommendations to ensure alignment with financial targets and suggest corrective actions as necessary.
Forecasting & Cash Flow Management:
- Create and update rolling forecasts based on recent performance trends and evolving business conditions.
- Provide real-time forecasts for revenue, expenses, and cash flow, ensuring proactive financial decision-making.
- Ensure the organisation's liquidity is maintained through effective cash flow management and working capital optimisation.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support strategic decision-making, including profitability assessments, ROI evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership,
translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Monitor KPIs and key business drivers to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that guide business decisions.
- Serve as a trusted business partner to department heads, helping them align their operational activities with financial goals.
- Work closely with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective financial governance.
- Qualified CA(SA).
- Proven experience in financial management and FP&A; roles.
- Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash flow management.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and relevant financial regulations.
- Prior experience working in multinational environments or across different markets is advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
- Candidate needs to be available immediately and willing to work a fixed term project contract.
