The External Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business and managing relationships with existing clients in the FMCG sector. The primary objective is to achieve sales targets by expanding market share, building strong customer relationships, and providing tailored solutions to meet client needs. The role requires a proactive individual with excellent negotiation skills, a strong understanding of the FMCG landscape, and a proven track record in sales.
- Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities and key markets within the FMCG sector.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold calling, and research.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Account Management:
- Manage and grow existing client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback, ensuring swift resolution of issues.
- Sales & Reporting:
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic sales decisions.
- Product Knowledge:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's product range and industry trends.
- Educate clients on product features, benefits, and pricing.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Strong B2B sales experience and knowledge of distribution channels.
- Education:
- A relevant diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.
- Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the designated sales territory.
