This is a critical role in the IT Department as you will be working with the IT Hiring manager to place Senior Talent.

A motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist in sourcing, screening, and recruiting top IT talent for our organization. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and help identify suitable candidates. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and recruitment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Detailed Description

Talent Acquisition

Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their technical staffing needs and develop job descriptions.






Source potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals.
Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for specific roles.
Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
Assist in the negotiation and offer process, including extending job offers and facilitating the onboarding process.
Maintain candidate databases and ensure accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Provide regular updates to hiring managers on the status of open positions and candidate pipelines.
Assist with organizing recruitment events, job fairs, and other talent acquisition initiatives.
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in IT recruitment.
Identify and understand IT staffing needs within the organization.
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top IT talent.
Source, screen,





and interview candidates for various IT roles.
Coordinate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and candidate preferences.
Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future IT positions.

Talent Pipeline Management

Build and maintain a talent pipeline of IT professionals with diverse skill sets.
Establish relationships with IT professionals, industry experts, and technology communities.
Continuously assess market trends and competitor activities to stay updated on the availability of IT talent.

Reporting

Generate reports and dashboards to communicate recruitment reports.

Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in sourcing, screening, and recruiting IT professionals across various roles including software development, network administration,





cybersecurity, etc.
Knowledge of different IT roles, responsibilities, and technical skills required for positions such as software developers, system administrators, database administrators, etc.
People Orientation and a Team Player
Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
Team working; Planning, organization and management of the work
Familiarity with IT technologies, tools, programming languages, and frameworks to effectively evaluate candidates' technical skills and qualifications.
Ability to conduct technical interviews, evaluate coding skills, and assess candidates' abilities to perform specific IT tasks or solve technical problems.
Good Understanding of Process, Procedures and Work Instructions






Strong set of general people-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple job requisitions simultaneously, and meet recruitment deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to providing a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring clear communication, timely feedback, and a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
Adherence to ethical standards and legal requirements in recruitment practices, including equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations, data privacy laws, and diversity initiatives.

- Matric (grade 12)






- 3 years + experience specializing in IT Recruitment
- 5 – 6 years Recruitment experience
- Knowledge of technical concepts and terminology related to IT roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
