SENIOR LEGAL ADVISOR (LITIGATION) position
Reports to: Legal Services Manager
Duration: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Role Overview:
Join the Legal Services team as a Senior Legal Advisor, providing expert legal support for post-investment monitoring and restructuring in cases of emerging defaults. This role requires active engagement in deal restructuring and litigation, ensuring the protection of the organisation's rights and managing legal processes such as debt recovery, liquidation, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for post-investment monitoring, restructuring, and litigation
- Offer legal advice to relevant departments and manage external legal counsel
- Implement decisions from committees, ensure recovery of funds, and negotiate settlements
- Draft and review legal agreements related to restructures and other legal matters
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years post-articles experience in private equity, corporate finance, or similar
- Extensive experience in litigation, business rescue, securities law, or insolvency law
- Strong knowledge of company law, tax law, and business report writing
Qualifications:
- LLB degree
- Admitted Attorney
