Position: Junior Engineer (Project / Contracts Engineering)

This opportunity is with a well-established, privately owned South African company, a specialist in supplying cutting-edge processing equipment to the mining and related industries. With headquarters in Johannesburg and a global footprint, this dynamic company continues to expand its reach, offering exciting growth prospects.
The Role:
Join a highly active Projects Division where you'll be mentored by industry experts. As you develop your skills, you'll gain hands-on experience in overseeing key elements of equipment and plant orders. Over time, your role will evolve to include the following responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all phases of project orders and contracts.
- Ensure that customer requirements and legal obligations are clearly understood and documented.
- Analyze contract objectives and ensure all tasks are completed to meet order specifications.
- Review project specifications and coordinate design efforts accordingly.
- Oversee the preparation and issuance of general arrangement drawings, material lists, and manufacturing documentation.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment.
- Liaise with customers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Manage the financial aspects of contracts, including variations and invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems throughout the project.
- Communicate with clients and subcontractors during manufacturing and installation.
- Assist in updating mechanical drawings for as-built documentation.
- Coordinate testing, inspections, and compile final Quality Management System documentation upon contract completion.
- Supervise equipment installation and commissioning at client sites.
- Work closely with site representatives and process engineers during the commissioning phase.
