What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
As a Junior Project Manager, you'll support the project management team through all phases of the project lifecycle. From helping with planning and site setup to monitoring construction progress, you'll play a key role in ensuring the project is executed according to plan. You'll assist in stakeholder coordination, track site activities, and ensure contractors adhere to safety and technical standards. Additionally, you'll prepare reports, track milestones, and help with handovers to the operations team. This hands-on experience in project management will allow you to sharpen your skills while contributing to critical renewable energy projects in South Africa.
Where you'll be doing it
Our client is a global leader in renewable energy with a strong presence across sub-Saharan Africa. They've successfully developed, financed, and constructed renewable energy projects including wind, solar, and battery storage facilities.

What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical-related field and a tertiary qualification in project management. A SACPCMP certification is highly desirable. You should have experience with project construction management, be well-versed in MS Project, and have a good understanding of health and safety regulations. Experience in contract management and dealing with technical design and operations within energy projects will be key.
A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel to construction sites are essential.
