PROFESSIONAL OFFICER: COMMUNICATION AND ENGAGEMENT
BASIC SALARY: R499 822 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: UMO 54/24 ● CIVIC CENTRE
Requirements:
A relevant Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or Media studies)
Three (3) to five (5) years’ relevant experience at an appropriate level i.e. communication, stakeholder engagement, public relations, change management, marketing
Excellent writing, communication and engagement skills including the ability to turn technical information into simple language content
Strong project management skills
A valid Code B driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle for official use
Availability outside standard office hours to facilitate engagements.
Key performance areas:
Plan and implement communication and engagement initiatives
Support of various construction projects and pave the way for implementation
Facilitate two-way flow of information between internal, external stakeholders and affected communities to foster relations, change and enable service delivery
Promote various services, plans and strategies
Implement interventions to change behavioural patterns
Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
