Lesaka Technologies is seeking a Group Senior SecOps Engineer to play a vital role in enhancing our security operations. The successful incumbent will design, implement, and maintain robust security measures to protect systems and data from potential threats. This position also involves providing support for the extended Group SecOps team.

Role Overview

The Group Senior SecOps Engineer will be instrumental in developing and managing identity and access management solutions that meet industry standards and organizational needs. Key responsibilities include monitoring security threats, responding to incidents, and formulating policies and procedures to bolster security. Staying updated on emerging threats and technologies is essential,





alongside mentoring and training junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Design & Implement: Develop and manage identity and access management solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.
- Monitor & Respond: Oversee security threats and incidents, taking necessary actions to mitigate risks.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Create and enforce security policies and procedures to protect data and systems.
- Stay Informed: Remain current with the latest security threats and technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the security framework.
- Mentorship: Guide and train junior staff, supporting their professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.

Internal and External Relationships
- Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with the Group CISO office team and key stakeholders across all group companies to ensure cohesive security strategies.
- Vendor Management:





Manage relationships with technology vendors to ensure effective implementation of security solutions and services.

Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant technical certifications in identity management, security technologies, operating systems, or networks.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in security operations and management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- IAM Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Identity and Access Management principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Security Controls: Proficiency in web security, email security, and endpoint security measures.
- Vulnerability Management: Experience in vulnerability and patch management practices.
- Automation Tools:





Familiarity with security automation and orchestration tools.
- Cybersecurity Frameworks: Understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks such as CIS Controls and NIST CSF.
