An exciting opportunity is available for a Principal Development Officer (Planning) to join our evolving Planning, Transport and Regulation (PTR) team. This is a leadership role, and we are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join the team.

As the Principal Development Officer (Planning)





you will be critical in supporting the PTR Service Unit with advanced professional planning and development knowledge and technical expertise to ensure that new development in the City of Newcastle is consistent with planning instruments, development policies, relevant codes and environmental legislation.

This role will see you provide training and mentoring to the PTR team whilst managing more complex development projects, legal appeals and providing policy advice.
