Introduction
One of the leaders in the Manufacturing industry is looking for a Research & Development Chemist to join the team. This role requires someone that has a minimum of 4 - 6 Years in a similar role i.e.: Research & Development Chemist
The successful incumbent must come from or have Manufacturing industry experience specifically Homecare / Household and Personal Care product Manufacturing. This role will be reporting to the Quality Manager and is based in Johannesburg
Duties & Responsibilities
- Creating and updating of Bill of materials and Product Master Manufacturing Instructions in respect to Product formulations
- Create and update finished goods specs and compile finished product materials
- Raw materials maintenance and finished goods database
- Compile poisons control centre information for new products
- Applications for certification and endorsements
- Quality, Health, Safety and Environment: Comply to all HSE SOP’s and procedures
- Take part in company endorsed Training programs
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications required:
- Degree or BTech, National Diploma in Chemistry or any similar qualification
- Cgmp (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) Training is an added advantage
Skills and experience required:
- A minimum of 3 - 6 Years’ experience as a Research & Development Chemist
- VERY IMPORTANT: Manufacturing industry experience specifically Homecare / Household and Personal Care product Manufacturing
- Understanding, experience and strong knowledge of raw materials used in Homecare, Household and Personal Care products
- Experience and knowledge of Safety Data Sheet and how to create them
- Product regulations and legislation knowledge
