SA's global leader in on-line education, has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and suitably experienced Online English Tutor. This is a remote role to anyone in RSA
This role is ideal for young adults, university students, and experienced or aspiring tutors based in South Africa looking for part-time remote work to supplement their income

Duties and Responsibilities
- Guide students while delivering English lessons based on a well-developed curriculum and teaching methodology
- Engage and encourage students positively throughout the lesson
- Manage a classroom and provide feedback to students on their language proficiency
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- A matric/high school diploma is required
- A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate is required
- Great command of the English language (accent neutral)
- Computer literate and able to troubleshoot
- Comfortable using Zoom as a teaching platform
Technical Requirements
PC Specifications
- Processor: Intel ® Core i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or greater
- Memory: 8GB RAM or greater
Backup Power
- Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)
with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is a non-negotiable requirement
- A separate mini power supply system to power your fiber router as an independent system
Internet Connection
- A stable FIBRE internet connection - at a minimum of 25 mbps upload and download speeds
- PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection
- PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT WIFI, 5G OR LTE CONNECTIONS
Technical Requirements Other
- Noise-cancelling headsets
- HD web camera
- Back-up headset is highly recommended
- Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
Points To Note
- The classes are booked two weeks in advance within your chosen shift
- You have the opportunity to pick up additional classes outside of your scheduled shift when available
- All lesson material is provided
- All students are adults
- Should your application and interview be successful we will ask you to attend a 1-day online training session and present a short demo lesson to our quality and training team

Location
- Anywhere in South Africa as this is a home-based remote online teaching role
