JUNIOR OPERATIONS CONTROLLER -DURBAN

Our client a
leading, internationally recognized freight-forwarding business, specializing
in custom supply chain solutions, logistics, warehousing and ships agency
requires professional,
well-spoken individual to fill the position to join the Operations team.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist
in monitoring daily operations to ensure compliance with company standards.

·
Support
the preparation of operational reports.

·
Streamline
processes and enhance operational efficiency.

·
Maintain
accurate records of operational activities.

· Participate
in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

·
Support






the team in troubleshooting operational issues..

·
Assist
in audits and compliance checks.

·
Contribute
to continuous improvement initiatives and projects.

Qualifications
& Experience:

·
A
degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply
Chain Management, or a related field is typically required. Coursework in
project management, statistics, or business analytics can be beneficial.

· 1-2
years of relevant experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain
management (internships included).

·
Familiarity
with maritime operations or logistics is a plus.

·
Strong
analytical and organizational skills.

·
Proficient
in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with logistics software is a plus.

Knowledge:

·
Understanding
of the operational processes.

·
Ability
to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.

·
Proficiency
in Excel and reporting.

·
Familiarity






with ERP systems or financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other
industry-specific tools).

·
Ability
to prepare regular reports and presentations for management.

·
Ability
to explain complex financial information.

·
Analytical
thinking to troubleshoot issues.

·
Ability
to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

·
Basic
understanding of relevant regulations and compliance issues in the industry.

·
Ability
to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Skills Required:

to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Ability
to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in the industry.
