Fast growing manufacturing company seek a B Comm(articles)/CMA or similar to take up a 3 month contract. Option to go perm.
All functions of finance reporting to this role
Must be able to evaluate, guide and mentor the finance team
Interacts with all departments as and when required
Strong on controls and ensuring adequate procedures
Strong knowledge of system migration and implementation
Sound knowledge of exports and forex transactions
Experience with BOM structuring and product costing
Ensures detailed reporting by function/department
Deals with financial institutions (capital/loans to be raised)
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
- preparation of monthly management accounts and reports
- preparation of an annual budget
- cash flow management and planning
- strategic planning
- capital structure planning
- managing all tax affairs
- leadership and management of the finance and accounting team
- oversight of logistics, transport, service, rental and warehousing departments
- liaising with the auditors and statutory matters
- evaluation of possible acquisitions
Qualities sought include, but not limited to, the following:
- a strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative
- an absolute commitment to service excellence
- strong verbal and written presentation skills (particularly in English)
- strong negotiation skills and techniques
- a strong feel for the financial intricacies of an industrial business
- is willing and able to travel when required, both locally and in Africa
