Location: JHB North& Part of North West country trip , South Africa - Field

Job Description

As the Medical Sales Representative Rx,





you are accountable for delivering the commercial goals of the Rx Business Unit for your region. You will "own" the local health economy, build partnerships with key national health service, stakeholders and decision makers, whilst optimizing brand positioning across guidelines, formularies and pathways. Your entrepreneurial flair, will enable you to seek out opportunities within Dermatology service provision, create and deliver National Department of Health solutions, whilst progressively driving sales and market share gain.

We have both an exciting pipeline portfolio, whilst driving an inline Dermatology portfolio with positive national guidance's, within Acne, Rosacea etc.

Key Responsibilities

Introduces and promotes both ethical & self-medication and solicits orders.






Maintains close contact with all relevant customers as well as their immediate superior in relation to the company's sales and marketing programs and objectives. The emphasis is to drive the business to targeted Dermatologists , General practitioners and Pharmacies as per promoted brands , also incl. Academic Dermatology Departments
Partner with the broader marketing, and medical teams to create and implement various projects such as training, communication, workshops, events to increase our service delivery. This includes attending national educational meetings, conferences, and product launches.
Detailing and promoting of Galderma's products to Dermatologists, targeted GP's, Selected/Limited Aesthetic Drs, Clinic Sisters and Doctor Receptionists.






Calling on and training of Doctor & Pharmacy personnel on Galderma's products where applicable
Training of HCP personnel on Galderma's products
Portray and maintain the professional ethical image of Galderma in field, and within the company in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct Policy
To manage the territory in a sound logical manner including planning, coverage of customers, administration
Official certification by the Marketing Code Authority (MCA) of South Africa (updated every 2 years)

Skills & Qualifications

Postgraduate education and a solid exposure into a field sale, key account management position or any relevant exposure within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry on any relevant industry.






Experience on implementation of commercial projects, have worked on product launches and dermatologist stakeholders
Ability to cultivate, maintain and build professional relationships with key opinion leaders
With a strong derma healthcare professional network, ability to plan and execute hands on training events compliantly and to a high quality
In-depth knowledge of the South African healthcare environment and structures, procedures, and operations
Self motivated with good inter personal and negotiation skills, able to function within a team or work independently
Valid code 8 driver's license and own transport essential
