The main purpose of the job is to provide assistance to technicians with servicing and repairs to heavy commercial vehicles which includes trucks, trailers, tankers and auxiliary equipment.

- Assist with inspections, servicing, repairs and maintenance on trucks, trailers, tankers and auxiliary equipment (incl. braking systems, suspensions, structural components, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics).
- Operate basic electrical and mechanical equipment pertaining to the job, i.e. manual equipment and small power tools.
- Carry out grinding, preparation and assembling if required.
- Work according to occupational health and safety requirements.
- Helping where needed and carrying out any reasonable requests.







- Heavy commercial vehicle knowledge
- Basic knowledge of airbrakes
- Basic auto-electrical knowledge
- Basic knowledge of diagnostic equipment
- Basic knowledge of engines, transmissions and drive lines
- Demonstrates a technical aptitude and ability

- Minimum 1 years-experience in a heavy commercial vehicle workshop.
- Mininmum education of Grade 10
