Phakisa Holdings is looking for qualified boilermaker in Port Elizabeth area:
We are seeking a skilled Double Coded Welder. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both structural and pipe welding, demonstrating proficiency in multiple welding techniques and codes. This role requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Perform welding tasks on a variety of materials and structures, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate welding operations.
- Execute welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
- Certification in multiple welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and double coded welding.
- Proven experience as a welder, preferably in [insert specific industry, e.g., construction, manufacturing, etc.].
- Strong knowledge of welding symbols, materials, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
