· Purchase hardware, software, licenses, and IT services (e.g., cloud services, maintenance contracts, etc.).
· Collaborate with the IT department to understand current and future requirements.
· Ensure that all IT purchases meet organizational standards and compliance requirements
· Identify and qualify new suppliers, maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
· Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and delivery.
· Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
· Manage and track supplier performance, ensuring adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
· Work within the approved IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness of all purchases.
· Prepare and manage purchase orders and invoice matching
· Track IT assets and maintain accurate records of all IT purchases.
· Collaborate with the IT department to manage asset lifecycle, including end-of-life replacements.
Requirements· Grade 12
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred,
· 3-5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years specifically in IT procurement.
· Familiarity with IT hardware, software, and services procurement.
· Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
· Syspro or similar system experience
Desired Skills:
- Grade 12
- Qualification preferred
- Min 3 yrs exp
Desired Qualification Level:
- Certificate
