Quality Assurance Supervisor/QC Supervisor (Manufacturing)
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the ISO 9001
Quality, ISO14001 Environmental, FSSC22000 Food Safety, Health and Safety and FSC management systems in
line with ISO standards, legal requirements, company policies, procedures.
Qualifications:
- Matric is essential
- Bachelor Degree or diploma in Packaging
- Familiar with failure mode effective analysis systems and response. (NCR/CAR)
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22001, FSC, ISO 14001, health and safety management systems.
- Act as document and data controller for ISO 9001, FSSC 22001, FSC, ISO 14001 and Health & Safety.
- Must have experience in corrugated manufacturing industry.
- Good communication and administration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Computer literacy (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Valid Code 8 driver's license.
- Self-management and discipline as well as physically fit for work
- Work outside normal working hours when necessary e.g. prepare for external audits.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Maintain ISO 9001, FSSC 22001, FSC ISO 14001, health and safety management systems.
- Ensure that the organisation complies with all Legal requirements and Legal appointments within your
department.
- Ensure ISO9001, FSSC22001 and FSC, ISO 14001, health and safety requirements & regulations are
effectively implemented and communicated.
- Manage team by effective utilization of the manning schedule, providing clarity on roles and responsibilities,
promoting teamwork and planned working schedules.
- Manage the QC Lab and ensuring correctness of testing performed.
- Ensure inspection reports, certificates of analyses are in line with required specifications.
- Implement and maintain Quality, Food Safety and FSC refreshing training programme.
- Submit month end reports timeously in line with set agenda.
- Visit customer/ address complaints as and when required and give full report.
- NCR/CAR to be actioned and outcome implemented and communicated with customers with evidence
within 5 working days.
- Basis accounting understanding.
- Maintaining of equipment, customer specifications, product specifications, colour swatches/samples.
- Conducting of internal audits as and when required.
- Prepare and present for customer visits/audits/management review.
- Involvement in Safety management and routine inspections.
- “Ensure all activities and duties are performed in accordance with the Companies Policy, Occupational
Health and Safety Act, No. 85 of 1993, Legal and Statutory Requirements, Customer Requirements, Health
and Safety, ISO9001, ISO14001, FSSC22001 and FSC standards.”
- Ensure that you and all people reporting to you operate within the “Fire & Safety Rules to live by” at all
times.
- Adhere to all legal and lawful requirements and instructions from your Superiors.
- Perform any adhoc duties as may be required from time to time.
- Prospected candidate will be required to undergo a practical assessment of their skills.
