As a progressive and leading company in the consumer goods market, we are seeking a highly competent and organized person to head up shipping and procurement.
Reporting to the CEO and Finance Manager, the Head of Shipping & Procurement will need to ensure effective processes are implemented and take full responsibility for incoming stock. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and motivated self-starter with initiative and creativity. Looking for a hardworking, trustworthy, and organized person, with a strong ability to multi-task. A can-do attitude is a must, along with the ability to learn quickly, and adapt to a demanding and changing work environment.
The Position:
We're looking for a highly organised Head of Shipping & Procurement to be office based in Germiston. The pay range on offer is R40 000.00 to R60 000.00 (Negotiable) CtC Package Per Month.

Requirements:
- Completed Matric
- Completed a related Import & Export qualification
- 4+ years experience in a similar role
- Strong experience with CBM - freight volume of the shipment for domestic and international freight
- Must have strong administrative skills and highly organized
- Process driven
- Organized ability to complete documentation
- Knowledge of air, road and ocean movements
- Good numeric skills
- Strong MS Excel abilities
- Own reliable transport with valid drivers license
- Must have a good understanding of written and verbal communication
- Must be able to work independently and be responsible enough to work without supervision
- Must be a Self-Starter
- Ability to work in a self-driven, complex environment with multiple and changing priorities
- Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
Responsibilities:
- Suggest solutions for process optimization
- Supervise and oversee shipping team members
- Identify shipping issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Department Administration, Supplier and 3rd Party Liaison
- Data Capturing, Project Administration
- Liaising with Overseas Suppliers
- Liaising with Clearing Agents
- Creating Stock Codes, Processing Purchase Orders
- Receipting of Local and Imported Stock
- Bill of Materials
- Assisting with buying forecasts
- Cost Adjustments
- Inventory Control
- Problem solving when costing is out
- Working in conjunction with accounts Department
- Set and control shipping and distribution budget
- Payments of All Imported Stock
- Recon of the Bills book
- Costing of Local and Import Pricing, Reconciliations for Stock
- Costing of Imported stock to landed cost
- Management of Cash Flow for All imported Stock
- Weekly GIT report and Receipt Reporting for Group
- Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders (such as warehouse workers, vendors, purchasing managers, suppliers etc.)
