BRAND MANAGER SKIN HEALTHLocation: Western CapeContract: PermanentThe responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:SummaryManages a brand/s of scale. Has organizational and cross functional leadership responsibilities. Drives market/consumer research and competitive intelligence gathering initiatives and uses insights to develop short to mid-term plans for key brands/minor portfolio. Plans, co-ordinates and drives business planning, brand management, brand planning, market research, new product development and roll out and business performance tracking.





Drives the development and execution of brand plans against key objectives with a view to delivering against the financial and market share commitmentsThe main duties and responsibilities of the position are:- Shape and develop the short and long term (3YOP) strategic direction, brand plans and innovation pipeline and execute with excellence, for Neutrogena and new brand opportunities for both SA and SSA.- In-depth understanding of category, consumer insights and emerging trends to shape and develop brand strategy and concept development for NPI for local relevance.- Monitor the market and the competition monthly to influence marketing plans in an ever-changing skin health environment. Regular trade visits and competitor analysis is key to success.- Leads annual brand planning process, working closely with the cross functional regional and HPT to deliver sound annual plans that identify growth opportunities / objectives and the local plans required to deliver against these objectives- Plan NPD/NPI pipelines and implements new product launches end to end with clear KPI’s.- Work with Regulatory to understand criteria and regulations per market and to facilitate the relevant registrations across markets- Develop, plan, implement and evaluate digital first marketing integrated marketing plans ATL & BTL in line with brand objectives- Manage productively the external agencies on Media Channel selection and lead execution plan.- Must have a strong digital acumen and be digital first in all aspects of brand communication strategy.- Experience in influencer management and execute brand strategy according to brand strategy.- Regularly plans, monitors, and tracks the performance of the respective brands and tracks risks and opportunities.- Manage business financials, P&L; performance, product forecasting, and budgets to ensure plans can be executed and financial targets delivered.QualificationsWe’d love to hear from YOU, if you have:- Matric plus a relevant marketing or business degree or diploma - needs to show strong numerical ability.- 5 years overall brand management experience (at junior or brand management level), with 2 years at a brand manager level, a proven track record in brand strategy and mix development and implementation in the Consumer Goods industry.Competencies:- Insight and concept development experience and marketing research capabilities.- Strong Marketing and commercial acumen.- Analytical thinking & problem-solving abilities,- competitive and external environment understanding,- NPI/NPD strategy and execution- Campaign management and development- Skin Health experience is advantageous.Key attributes:- Able to think strategically and analytically.- Ability to take initiative and to be proactive (self-starter)- Ability to manage complexity- High levels of drive to succeed and make things happen- Ability to collaborate and build productive regional and local cross-functional working relationships- Tenacity to see things though and to deliver the long-term vision- Leadership ability and potential (role will grow as SSA business grows)_For more than 130 years, diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) have been part of our cultural fabric at Johnson & Johnson and woven into how we do business every day.
