Global Water Solutions (GWS) is seeking a talented and driven Retail Sales Representative (External sales experience - 2 years) to join our passionate sales force in South Africa, focusing on all the GWS products, but with particular focus on Water Treatment and filtration.

The Retail Sales Representative will directly report to the Regional Director – Africa and will be based in Gauteng.

Your Responsibilities:

The position includes the following responsibilities:

- Build, maintain and grow a rapport with the hardware outlet branches we are dealing with.

- Visit on a rotational call cycle every 6 to 8 weeks, which requires extensive travel—potentially three days a week for up to two weeks a month. This could be more initially until you get to know all the clients.

- Grow client purchases in areas where we have limited exposure.

- Convince "inactive" branches to start buying again.







- Perform analysis of prospects and design solutions that best meet customer needs; be the go-to person for problem-solving and suggestions to suit customer requirements.

- Gain adequate technical knowledge of our products and their usage by continually reading and familiarizing yourself with each product's applications.

- Train, educate, and conduct seminars with customers on our products and applications. This is ongoing and crucial for the staff at the stores.

- Attending regional trade shows and expos to promote GWS and its products.

- Provide clear and accurate reporting of sales outcomes and activities to management.

- Meet and exceed agreed monthly and annual sales targets.

- Complete adequate physical sales calls in all assigned areas to ensure targets are met and exceeded.







- Participate in sales and business training programs to improve sales performance.

- Manage the budget for travel expenses.

Your Attributes:

- Proven experience in sales; previous experience in a similar industry is a distinct advantage.

- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when needed.

- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

- Ability to organize your work schedule and manage your time effectively.

- In-depth knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.

- Excellent proficiency in English and Afrikaans; additional languages are a plus.
