Overview :
Our client, a leading Private Bank, is seeking a New Business Consultant - Asset Finance (heavy machinery and equipment used in construction, mining, and other industrial applications) to join their team.
The commercial financing department specializes in offering customized finance solutions to companies across various sectors.
They are committed to partnering with clients to help achieve their goals.
Responsibilities :
- Successful identification and onboarding of new clients
- Entrenching the company as a partner for growth
- Optimised book generating the right level of return
- Identify, target and acquire new business opportunities through the company’s internal network, cold calls, warm leads, marketing efforts,
referrals and other lead generation activities
- Customize and articulate the value proposition of the company
- Asset Finance offering to the potential client
- Deal structuring including scenario modelling, cost comparisons and proposal formulation
- Proactive engagement with credit for the preparation and presentation of deals to Credit Forum
- Optimize the existing book through proactive client engagement to grow facilities, address causes of low utilization, ensure the right product mix, and achieve an appropriate blended return, among other strategies.
Educational and Professional Requirements :
- BCom or finance related degree
- Sound business acumen with 10 years relevant experience in either a sales or consulting environment with the ability to negotiate at executive level and with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in managing relationships with Managing Directors, Finance Directors and CEOs
- Must have Asset Finance background and industry knowledge
- Ability to grasp and communicate financial concepts
- Ability to identify and speak around business opportunities within a client organization
- Strong financial background, ability to read & interpret annual financial statements and cashflow forecasts
- Well-developed negotiation skills
- Problem solving capability
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, schedule, plan and organise
