An opportunity exists within Safal Steel for a Management Accountant to be based in Gauteng Region. The position reports to the Finance Manager.
To prepare internal financial reports and provide insight into business performance. The objective is to help senior management use financial information to inform business strategy, as well as contributing to decision-making that will ensure business growth and long-term success.
Management Accounts reporting
- Manage the financial reporting process.
- Ensure that all internal and external reporting deadlines are met.
- Full product costing
- BOM’s
- Cost Analysis
- Variance analysis actual performance versus forecasted
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Credit control policy and approval process
- Receivables collection process
- Conformity with company guidelines, legal regulations and accounting standards
- Identify, investigate, analyse and propose potential operational improvements and changes (policy, procedures, processes etc)
- Ensure processes and procedures are correctly mapped and operating as intended within the ERP system
- Core lead team member for SAP HANA implementation
- Management of fixed assets / capex
- Assist with Ad hoc requests relating to compliance and statutory
- Assist the Financial Manager in the review of financial matters.
Job Requirements
Minimum academic qualification : B Commerce : majors in Accounting and Auditing.
Qualifications as an added advantage :
Progress towards CIMA qualification Membership : CIMA Experience : At least 5 years post qualifying experience with at least 3 years in a management accounting role.
