ROLE: Head of Sales - PRIVATE Sector (ICT)DEPARTMENT: Group SalesCLIENTS: PRIVATE SectorLOCATION: JHB North (Hybrid)INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE: ICTCTC: 2.2 mill paREQUIREMENTS- Grade 12- Four-year university degree or college diploma in computer science or 6-8 years equivalent work experience- MS, MBA, or related advanced degree is a plus- Minimum of 7 years of senior sales leadership experience- At least 5 years of industry-focused experience (ICT)- Good knowledge of industry trends, developments, and technologies- Proven relationships with various industry leaders and C-level clients- Extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices,





and ability to coach others- Proven track record of exceeding targets at both team and personal levels- Ability to maintain strategic relationships with industry partners and customer C-levels- Strong analytical and quantitative skills- Leadership and management skills- Excellent communication and presentation skills- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals- Experienced hunter and account manager- Strong financial literacy- Excellent organizational skills- Strong business acumen and sound judgement- Relationship building at senior levels- Ability to navigate complex opportunities and craft customer solutionsPURPOSE:Reporting to the Group Sales Director, you will lead the go-to market strategy for your industry, be accountable for client account management within existing client contracts, and drive new logo sales growth. Supported by the marketing team, you will conduct market research at the customer and industry level to identify specific transformational solutions. You will guide business units on how best to support your efforts with solutions and pre-sales activities.





You will carry a personal and team target for industry growth and lead account managers and new logo sales team members in identifying revenue opportunities by establishing trusted relationships with clients. As an advisor on industry trends, you will attend relevant events, seminars, and host round tables. You will drive a qualified pipeline of opportunities, manage staff performance, provide quarterly forecasting, and maintain updated customer and sales information in the CRM.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Build and maintain trusted customer relationships- Develop innovative solutions for customer needs- Partner with business units for optimal service delivery- Stay updated on industry trends; attend relevant events- Create and manage a qualified revenue pipeline- Develop industry strategy and go-to-market plans- Equip and manage the sales team- Ensure account plans for all customers- Collaborate with marketing for industry research- Align technology with industry trends- Retain and grow customer base; identify new revenue opportunities- Coach clients and staff- Set and achieve sales targets- Identify potential customers and build relationships- Align sales with business goals in collaboration with other departments
