Design Perform concept design, calculations and layouts of new designsEvaluate Finite Element simulations resultsPrepare Solid Models of components; sub-assemblies and assemblies, using the business file structure guidelines, number protocol and design standardsPrepare concept layouts of design concepts, using own design initiative and incorporating the inputs of members of the design team, with input from the team leaderPrepare detail layout and manufacturing drawings of components and assembliesEnsure correct drawing standards are used on drawings done under supervision by draftsman or in own capacityResponsible for the technical integrity of the allocated design,





including the integration on system levelDevelopment Follow the development process and procedures as described in the quality system, ensuring that the relevant reviews and procedures are completed, in order to reduce design riskAssist during the building and testing of prototypes, ensuring that closed loop feedback can take place during the design process Communicate with manufacturing and sub-contractors, to ensure the flow of information during prototyping and productionEnsure all project documentation are generated and gathered, as well as filled accordingly to business processesTest and Evaluation Communicate and incorporate inputs to and from the test and analysis parties during the design processInclude the test and analysis parties to perform tests and analysis to complete the design cycle utilising business processesPlan, schedule and execution of tests as required on allocated sub-systemProject Management Ensure that projects are executed according to the time, mass and budget targets,





set by the Design team leaderRepresent the business at design reviewsAttend design reviews internally and externally with the client, meeting people, representing ADGM with authority, and make technical decisionsManagement of sub-systems throughout the acquisitioning phase, being accountableSupport Production support, capturing of red-line drawings during the building and prototype phaseAssist ILS with repair, maintenance and other logistic information requiredSupport the procurement department during supplier evaluation and during the procurement cycleResponsible for the allocated design from concept phase up to sign-off.
Ensuring components are procured and quality assessed during the acquisition phaseEnsure suppliers confirm to all requirements, as set out in project specificationsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICAITIONS (Post-)





Graduate degree in Mechanical/ Design Engineering / N-Dip in Mechanical/ Design Engineering or B-Tech Degree in Mechanical/ Design Engineering5 - 7 years of experience in Mechanical Design EngineeringPrevious experience in the military vehicle design environment will be advantageousStrong knowledge of electrical design principles, systems and componentsSOFTWARE CAPABILITY o Proficient in electrical design software or relevant Onshape and SW Packages
OTHER REQUIREMENTS Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team membersStrong knowledge of product design principles and techniquesExperience with prototyping, testing,





and validation of designsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
