We're not just about serving people - we're about creating a marketplace to bring people what they need while infusing social values.About the roleAs a Backend Staff Engineer, you will drive the technical standards for the Backend across our consumer domain, working with multiple squads inside the domain. You will lead Backend engineers with tech roadmaps, architecture decisions, and feature development and release cycle. You will mentor junior developers and contribute to scaling up Backend engineers in multiple squads by conducting technical interviews.About your role as Staff Back-End Engineer "Node.js"Design, build and maintain features for the domain applicationsProvide technical leadership and manage dependenciesConduct design and code reviewsHelp the domain team members with technical blockers supporting them and helping them growContinuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize efficiencyParticipate in architecture and design discussionsParticipate strongly in building the technical roadmapConduct technical interviewsHelp improve engineering standards, tooling,
and processesOwner of these projectsPerform feasibility studies to validate capability and functionalityDraft and submit intellectual propertyResearch and assess current technologiesDevelop and execute complex, multi-tier distributed software search applicationsCreate technical and domain expertise and apply to products and problemsAssess and write code to improve or extend applicationManage and assist current software applicationsExperience providing technical leadership and mentoring othersAbout your experienceAt least 10 years of experience in backend engineering with NodeJSStrong foundation in programming fundamentalsExcellent communication skillsEnjoy solving problems and helping others meet their goalsSolid understanding of XSubstantial experience with Git in a team environmentExperience writing testable code and unit testsExperience in a fast-growing startup in the on-demand services space is a plusHave a deep knowledge of React and NodeJS, and you have experience developing products with itExperience using modern JavaScript and tooling in a full-stack settingExtensive experience with A/B experiments and have a data-driven attitude toward product developmentYou will be part of one of the first Algerian startups to go through the Y Combinator program and one of the fastest-growing tech companies in North Africa.
