Medical Aid rate based on principal member only): To be confirmedAdvert Closing Date: 21/10/2024Job Purpose:To review the general ledger asset register for movable assets by:Ensuring accuracy between general ledger and asset register for newly acquired assets.Preparation of monthly reconciliations.Assist with annual year-end audit.Supervise daily operations in the office.Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:A National Diploma in Accounting with Finance and Business studies as major subjects.Three (3) years' relevant experience in a similar position.Preferably with Driver's License.Ms Office (Excel).Knowledge of ITS system.Recommendation:A driver's licence.Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities:Review the Institutional Asset Register for purchased assets.Preparation of monthly reconciliations.Reconcile the general ledger and asset register for movable assets.Fixed assets accruals.Review of journals for purchased assets.Assist with financial year-end audit.Supervise daily operations in the office.Supervision of staff for barcoding of assets.Performing ad hoc duties assigned by the line manager.Planning and organizing skills.Problem solving.Time management.Good communication skills (verbal and written).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.General Information:Closing date: 21 October 2024For enquiries and assistance with your online application, please contact Ms Viwe Lalela, Human Capital Department on ****** or 021 460 3351.Please indicate in your cover page/CV your major subjects for your undergraduate qualification.
