Upmarke Insurance Broker located in Johannesburg North requires an experienced Insurance Broker to join their New Business Dynamic Team.
- Create and maintain New Business sales channels, including in the aviation industry, amongst sub-brokers and with insurance companies (especially in Africa)
- Make appointments to meet new and existing clients, sub-brokers, insurers and cedents
- Obtain quotations, put together client presentations, client advice, negotiation of and close the deal, handle the placement
- Manage relationship with Local Insurers and London wholesale insurance brokers
- Keep up with both aviation and insurance industry news and trends
- Annual Renewals
- Admin-intensive position, must have strong administrative skills.
- Credit Control
- Selling additional products
- Attendance at airshows, and aviation related industry events
- 5 year working experience (Insurance)
- Short term (Personal, Commercial, Marine and/or other specialist) broking experience as internal broker.
- Managing own client base, including client visits and clients renewals (Obtaining quotations, putting together the presentation, firming up the renewal with both the client and Insurer).
- Excellent Knowledge of MS Office especially EXCEL & Word.
- Must be independent and also able to work in a team.
- Dealt with professional, affluent clients
- Experience in building and maintaining new sales channels
- Able to work under pressure.
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
