Oryx Energies is one of Africa's leading LPG distributors within the LPG Industry. We are a Swiss Multinational company with a leading footprint in Africa.

We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Field Based Account Manager with Sales Rep and Key Account Management experience to our join our Commercial Team.

Key position accountabilities include:

- Offer a superior customer service experience to our customer base
- Manage and develop the sale of LPG to customers in the Inland region.

- Provide commercial support to the Customer Service Centre & Supply Departments for their defined group of customers.






- Accountable for achieving volume and margin growth targets within a defined group of customers and designated geographical area.
- Overall accountability for managing commercial customer relationships for a defined group of customers.
- Lead contract negotiation/renegotiation process for Commercial customers within the designated Sales area as required.
- Manage and develop the sales area efficiently and effectively using appropriate sales techniques to drive performance and capitalize on opportunities for business growth through new and existing customers.
- Support the implementation of new offers and the focus on new target sub-segments in a proactive way; identify suitable customers for new business opportunities and driving volume and margin growth within the B2B bulk segment.
- Negotiate and prepare quotations for prospective or existing customers using pricing framework for guidance, ensuring these are assessed by the business in a timely way and the overall negotiation process is managed in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare and report on supply forecasts based on projected area requirements.






- Hold annual quality account review meetings with major customers within the area
- Ensure that all sites comply with the relevant HSSE and company codes of practice prior to and post the installation.
- Competitor analysis & feedback – track competitor activity within the designated geography, and provide assessment on impact to Oryx.

- Sales and/or Engineering Qualification.
- Technical/Engineering experience/know how an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as sales representative with a successful track record in sales in a technical field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Sales Force
- Exceptional Negotiation Skills
- Analytical skills: an organized and methodical thinker.





Able to assimilate data and present it in a comprehensive way to different audiences.
- Excellent communication skills written, read and spoken.
- Able to analyze and understand market places to gain thorough understanding of customer needs and company strengths.
- Confident to make decisions where required.
- Methodical in approach to problems, good attention to detail and ability to identify problems with immediate resolutions whilst under pressure.
- Be a strong team player whilst comfortable working on own initiative.
- Code 8 drivers licence, own reliable and insured vehicle.
