Our client based in the Pinetown area is looking for a dynamic and energetic Accounts Clerk who will be responsible for facilitating and maintaining accurate manual and system records of all assets and financial transactions of the Company. This includes but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Debtors
- Process invoices & credit notes
- Debtors' reconciliations
- Manage debtor queries
- Follow up on payments
- File all debtor documents
Creditors
- Process creditor invoices
- Creditors reconciliations
- Draw up schedule of creditor payments due for Managing Director
- Manage creditor queries
- File all creditor documents
Cash book
- Allocate cash book entries from bank
- Reconcile cash book account
- Month end file statement & reconciliation
- Ensure that entries posted are correct in the general ledger
Petty cash
- Manage petty cash float
- Disbursements as required
- Process to accounts
- File petty cash vouchers & reconciliation
General Administration
- Answer telephone
- Assist Managing Director as required with miscellaneous tasks
- Assist Admin staff with administrative duties
- Ensure all administrative processes are adhered to
Experience and Qualification:
- Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping
- 5 years' experience in Bookkeeping
- Experience in Sage One, Xero, Pastel or similar
- Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Own transport essential
Salary
- R8 000 - R10 000 depending on experience
