Duties and Responsibilities:
The Account Manager is responsible for:

- Ensuring that the solution that the customer purchased is implemented correctly and fully. This is achieved by working with the customer's team and our internal technical team and co-ordinating the project.
- Ensure that the customer is invoiced and that payment is received. This requires building a relationship with the customer's decision maker/s, IT management and staff, procurement department, finance department etc.
- Upsell additional licenses and additional products to the customer
- Ensure that a great relationship is maintained across all relevant departments at the customer. IT, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain etc.





by meeting with the customer on a regular basis. Remain in frequent contact with the clients in your responsibility to understand their needs.
- Ensure that the client has budgeted sufficiently and timeously for renewals every year.
- Ensure optimal usage of our products within the customer and that the customer's technical staff are trained and satisfied with the product's performance. Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customers' dedication.
- Engage with the customer on all issues relating to us and ensure that matters are resolved as soon as possible and escalated to management where necessary. Respond to complaints and resolve issues aiming to customer contentment and the preservation of the company's reputation.
- Maintain forecasts and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets. This will consist of both renewals as well as upsell revenue targets.
- Preparing and presenting proposals and bids
- Negotiating terms and conditions with clients
- Uncovering and understanding a company's needs






- Reporting and recording all sales activities in a CRM system.
- Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data.
- Communicate any relevant matters to the client, these will include new features, additional products, any company related news that the company would want to communicate etc.
- Communicating with clients by phone, through email and face-to-face to ensure their needs are understood and addressed.
- Attending trade shows and hosting customer events
- Building strong client relationships to maintain old business and acquire new customers.
- Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure they fulfil all customer requests.






- Acting as the client's representative in a firm to ensure their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience.

Education and Training Requirements:

- Preferably a bachelor's degree in marketing, business or risk management and or experience as an account manager for at least 3 years with a proven track record of success.
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or in other sales/customer service role - Maintaining, project managing and upselling
- Knowledge and experience of sales and negotiating with customers
- Attitude is everything
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) is a plus
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships

Salary - R50,000.00 - R70,000.00 CTC (Based on experience, skill & in relation to your current package)
